San Antonio, Texas, February 15, 1997. MARCIVE, Inc. is pleased to announce a new Web-based reference product, MarciveWeb DOCS. For years, MARCIVE has offered the premier Monthly Catalog database on CD-ROM, as well as a host of other products designed for US government depository libraries. Soon, the same highly accurate database available through GPO CAT/PAC Plus, the CD-ROM version, will be available over the Internet.
Hallmarks of the new product are its ease-of-use and timely information. Patrons will find the newest titles through the inclusion of the Daily Depository Shipping List records, which provide early access to documents not yet cataloged.
Through the use of the "Plus" feature, users can identify which depository libraries hold specific titles. Even libraries which are not depositories will appreciate the access to accurate, current information about the location of US government documents.
Introductory pricing of MarciveWeb DOCS has been set at $1425. Customers of the MARCIVE GPO Database Service, a service which provides automatic monthly cataloging for government documents, will enjoy a substantial discount on this product.
Full release of MarciveWeb DOCS is slated for the third quarter. Existing customers who wish to participate in the early release version should contact their MARCIVE representative for information.
