When you order books or A/V from Amazon.com, your order is sent to MARCIVE where we find or build MARC records for you. These records are authoritized and customized according to your MARCIVE profile: for example, deleting unwanted subject headings, building an 852 field for your automated system, and adding Lexile Framework for Reading® data.
MARCIVE generates the MARC record for you to pick up the next business day after you place your Amazon.com order. If you place an order Monday, the records are available Tuesday. Friday orders are available the following Monday.
Amazon prints the spine label/barcode label set, if desired, and ships along with the book.
All of this customization to your specifications saves you time, a most precious commodity whether you are a solo librarian or manage a large department.
Cataloging with authority control
MARCIVE offers book and A/V standard cataloging records in MARC format as provided by Library of Congress, National Library of Canada, and other reputable sources. If a full record is not available, a brief record will be supplied for you. All records are passed through authority control so that names and subject headings are the most current possible.

Label sets: Call number spine label, pocket label, and smart barcode
Save time with a preprinted spine label, pocket label, and smart barcode label for each title you order. Amazon prints these label sets and ships them with your order. (MARCIVE customers, please note: These label sets are not the same as MARCIVE book label sets or smart barcode labels.)
